This Privacy Policy explains how Monsieur Click (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal data of visitors and clients when they use the website www.monsieurclick.com (the “Site”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your personal data in a transparent and secure manner, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable French data protection laws.
1. Data controller
The data controller responsible for processing your personal data is:
Monsieur Click – Agence SEO & Webdesign
24 bis sentier des fosses rouges, 92240 Malakoff, France
Email: contact@monsieurclick.com
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can contact us using the details above.
2. Personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that is relevant and necessary for clearly defined purposes.
Depending on how you interact with our Site and services, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Identification and contact data: first name, last name, company name, email address, phone number, role or function.
- Communication data: content of your messages when you contact us via forms on the Site, email, or other channels, and our related correspondence.
- Service and contractual data: information related to your project (website, local SEO, strategy), billing details and records necessary for accounting purposes.
- Technical and browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of visits, referral URLs, interactions with the Site, collected through Google Analytics 4, Meta/Facebook Pixel and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences: your choices regarding receiving our email communications (for example via Lead Connector) and other marketing.
We may collect personal data directly from you (for example, when you fill in a contact form or request a quote) or automatically when you browse the Site through cookies and tracking technologies.
3. Purposes of processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries, provide quotations and manage pre‑contractual exchanges.
- To provide and manage our services (local SEO, web design, consulting, ongoing support) and to fulfil our contractual obligations.
- To manage client relationships, invoicing, accounting and after‑sales support.
- To measure and improve the performance, security and user experience of our Site, in particular through Google Analytics 4.
- To run audience measurement and, where applicable, advertising and remarketing campaigns, notably via Meta/Facebook Pixel.
- To manage our CRM and follow‑up of leads and clients using Lead Connector (for example to track your requests and interactions).
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (for example, accounting and tax obligations).
We do not use your personal data for purposes that are incompatible with those described above.
4. Legal bases for processing
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:
- Consent:
- for the placement and reading of non‑essential cookies and trackers (such as analytics and advertising cookies);
- for sending certain marketing communications where required by law.
- Performance of a contract or pre‑contractual measures: when processing is necessary to respond to your requests or to deliver our services to you.
- Compliance with a legal obligation: particularly for invoicing, accounting, and archiving obligations.
- Legitimate interest: to improve our Site and services, to secure our systems, to manage and develop our business relationships, and to promote our services to individuals and small businesses, provided that such interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and store certain information when you visit or interact with it.
These technologies include in particular:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): used to measure traffic, understand how visitors use the Site and improve our content and services. GA4 processes, among other things, your IP address, device information and browsing data.
- Meta/Facebook Pixel: used to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook/Instagram advertising campaigns and build audiences for remarketing. This may involve the collection of data about your interactions with our Site, which can be associated with your Facebook account if you are logged in.
- Cloudflare: used as a content delivery and security service (CDN, DDoS protection, performance optimisation). When you access the Site, your IP address and other technical data are processed by Cloudflare’s infrastructure.
Cookies and trackers may be used for the following purposes:
- To ensure the basic functioning and security of the Site (strictly necessary cookies and security‑related processing, including via Cloudflare and Brizy infrastructure).
- To perform audience measurement and usage analysis (GA4).
- To support our online advertising and remarketing activities (Meta/Facebook Pixel).
You can manage your cookie preferences via your browser settings and, where available, via the consent tools on the Site.
Please note that certain cookies and technical processing strictly necessary for the operation and security of the Site cannot be deactivated.
For more detailed information, please refer to our dedicated Cookie Policy, if provided on the Site.
6. Forms, CRM and email communications (Lead Connector)
When you submit a form on the Site (for example, to request an SEO audit, a quote or to contact us), the information you provide is used to process your request and may be stored in our CRM system (Lead Connector).
We may use Lead Connector to:
- centralise and organise leads and client information;
- keep a history of our interactions (emails, notes, follow‑up);
- send individual or limited campaign emails related to our services.
Some forms may contain an optional checkbox allowing you to consent to receiving marketing communications (such as tips, resources or news about our services).
In this case, your consent is the legal basis for such marketing emails, and you may withdraw it at any time by clicking on an unsubscribe link or by contacting us directly.
We do not use Lead Connector to send SMS marketing messages.
7. Hosting, cloud services and security
Our Site is hosted on Brizy Cloud, a hosted platform powered by the Brizy builder.
Brizy Cloud uses servers in several regions, including Europe, and implements technical measures in line with GDPR requirements (for example, secure infrastructure, access control and backups).
In addition, our DNS and certain security/performance functions are provided via Cloudflare, a global content delivery and security network.
When you access the Site, your IP address and certain technical data are processed by Cloudflare to deliver content, protect against attacks (such as DDoS) and improve loading times.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- secure hosting and infrastructure;
- encryption of communications via HTTPS (SSL/TLS);
- restricted access to data, limited to authorised persons;
- regular monitoring and backups.
Despite our efforts, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted via the internet.
8. Data sharing and recipients
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
We may share your data only with the following categories of recipients, on a strict need‑to‑know basis:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: Brizy Cloud, Cloudflare and any other technical provider necessary for the operation and security of the Site.
- Analytics and advertising providers: Google (for GA4), Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (for Facebook Pixel).
- CRM and email service provider: Lead Connector, used to manage leads and certain email communications.
- Professional advisers: such as accountants, lawyers or auditors, where necessary to comply with our legal obligations or defend our rights.
- Public authorities or regulators, including data protection and tax authorities, when we are legally required to do so.
Where we use third‑party service providers, we ensure that they process personal data solely on our instructions, under written contracts, and with adequate technical and organisational security measures in place.
9. International data transfers
Although we are established in France and strive to host and process data within the European Economic Area (EEA), some of our service providers (for example Google, Meta/Facebook, Cloudflare, Lead Connector) are located or store data outside the EEA.
In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:
- an adequacy decision by the European Commission; and/or
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission; and/or
- other mechanisms recognised by the GDPR as providing an adequate level of protection.
You can obtain more information about these safeguards by contacting us using the details in section 1.
10. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the category of data and the context of processing, for example:
- Prospective clients and enquiries: up to 3 years from the last contact, unless you request earlier deletion or object to processing.
- Clients and contractual data: for the duration of the contractual relationship, then archived for the statutory limitation periods (in particular, up to 10 years for accounting records).
- Technical and analytics data: for a period strictly necessary for security and audience measurement, generally not exceeding 13 months for analytics cookies, in line with regulatory guidance.
After the relevant retention period has expired, we either delete or anonymise your personal data in a secure manner.
11. Your rights under GDPR
As a data subject, you have the following rights regarding your personal data, subject to certain conditions and limitations:
- Right of access: to obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and to receive a copy of such data.
- Right to rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): to request the deletion of your personal data where there is no longer a legal basis for us to process it.
- Right to restriction of processing: to request that we limit the use of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object: to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object to processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to data portability: to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine‑readable format and to transmit it to another controller where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@monsieurclick.com, clearly indicating your identity and the nature of your request.
We will respond within one month, in accordance with the GDPR, and may request additional information to verify your identity if necessary.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) or your local data protection authority within the EU.
12. Links to third‑party websites
Our Site may contain links to third‑party websites, plug‑ins or services (for example, social networks or external tools).
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third‑party sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with your personal data.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, in particular to reflect changes in our practices, services or applicable law.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, we may notify you by email or by a notice on the Site.
